This is an archive of my old webcomics, now organized for easy viewing and reference. I really wanted to make comic books there for a bit from 2011 to 2016--the isolating nature of the work didn't quite suit me. I enjoy the social art of tattooing much more! Please keep in mind that I didn't actually finish any of these projects; if you get invested and feel unsatisfied when they abruptly end I'm sorry!
Shadow Queen
(2013)
When I was 20 I decided I was going to spend my summer between years of college making 100 pages of a comic book. It didn't matter what kind of comic book--so long as I reached my 100 page goal and tried my best. Shadow Queen, a post-apocalyptic fantasy about the schism between a queen and a princess, is the result of that effort. A lot of my stylistic preferences and recurring characters first appeared here. In hindsight, I probably should have picked a story I could have actually completed in 100 pages. By the end of the process I was utterly burned out and shelved the project. It's still got some sick panels though!
Pantheon
(2014)
Pantheon was an experimental project in-between Shadow Queen and Redwinter. I wanted to try a more newsprint-style panel format and move from a digital medium to traditional media drawing. For the story, I wanted to attempt a sequel to the unfinished Shadow Queen. At the end of Shadow Queen Regina would have revealed herself as Tatyana's grandmother, Akulina's mother, and the guardian of Earth in a cosmic sort of twist. Tatyana, Regina, and Corazon would have put aside their differences and defeated Akulina with Corona to save the peoples of both cities. Pantheon would pick up afterwards and depict some of Regina's life as the Earth guardian.
Redwinter
(2015-2016)
My good friend Hanna had heavy input on the writing when I drew Redwinter, even scripting pages herself in places. My friend Heather (my now-wife) helped out with art assistance. Redwinter was a genre shift from apocalyptic fantasy to small town horror. Re-imagined versions of the Shadow Queen cast appear alongside new characters. I was in the process of coming out when I started Redwinter, and it shows. Had Redwinter been completed, Tatyana and her friends would have defeated the Leviathans and changed the town somehow, though I never settled on how. I struggled to decide what I wanted Redwinter to be the entire time I was working on it.
The Erotic Adventures of Gally and Pris
(2017)
!!!NSFW!!!
After burning out on Redwinter and feeling dissatisfied with some of the creative decisions I'd made on that project, I moved on from small town horror-drama to cyberpunk comedy-erotica with some slice of life bits. More trans feelings in this one! Surprise!
Miscellaneous Comics
Just some bits and bobs.
